Nolan Combs Receives 2017 Lipscomb & Pitts Founder’s Scholarship

Nolan Combs, son of Karla (COO) and John Combs, was the recipient of the 2017 Lipscomb & Pitts Founder’s Scholarship on June 27th.

A Brighton High School (BHS) graduate, Nolan was President of the Broadcasting Club, Co-Founder of BHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Chapter, TOTAL Youth Leadership Delegate, BHS Varsity Soccer Captain, and Munford United Competitive / Travel Club Soccer Captain.

Combs community service activities include Life Support Disaster Relief Team volunteer, Special Olympics volunteer for nine years, a Brighton Buddy Mentor, and a Latin American Mission Trip volunteer for five years.

“Succeeding in everything that I do is very important to me, and college, as I see it, is a way to achieve that success. Scholarships such as this one motivate me to never cease my pursuit of academic excellence,” said Nolan Combs.

We wish Nolan much success as he begins studying Law and Politics at Freed-Hardeman University this fall.

The L&P Founder’s Scholarship Program was established in 2008 and is designed to benefit the dedicated employees of L&P by offering financial assistance for eligible college expenses to the winning applicant, while also honoring the founders of our agency.

Chief Operating Officer, Karla Combs, accepts the scholarship on behalf of her son Nolan from Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance Co-CEO’s Mat Lipscomb (left) and Johnny Pitts (right) during the bi-monthly staff meeting.
